The Palouse Unit had a successful fall semester. We welcomed over 30 new members at the beginning of the year and have had great attendance for several field trips and speakers. Members participated in the Idaho Chapter Native Fish Committee annual field trip, Idaho Department of Fish and Game walleye gill
netting, and sturgeon sampling. About 35 students participated in our “Different Paths in Fisheries” workshop, where students learned about applying to graduate school and finding jobs. Aaron Penney, Nez Perce Tribal Hatchery Supervisor, spoke to a packed classroom
about the tribe’s facilities and programs. We’re looking forward to an active spring semester. And don’t forget to mark your calendars—our annual Wild Game Feed Fundraiser will be Friday, April 10, 2015 in Moscow, Idaho. Moscow, Idaho.
